| Wonderful shot. I like the b&w, and the composition. I particularly like the contrast of the sharp line of the icicle and the soft round bokeh. And the little star glints on the ice are the icing on the cake. |

Hi from the Critique Club...
All I can say is this should have been in the 6's, I think the voters past by too quickly.
I like the extreme negative space, the little bokeh dots in the background and the creamy transitions. I think the b/w conversion was spot on as well.
The only negatives I can find is that there appears to be a slight halo around the ice, probably from sharpening. It's very minor though and more of a nit than anything. The other thing, as long as I'm critiquing ;), is I find the dark line in the center area a bit distracting because of the contrast it makes with the lighter colors. Maybe a slightly different angle would have eliminated it.
