The more I fuss, the worse I do Sooooo....leave it simple...practically right out of the camera with some small level adjustments, color, brightness/contrast, resize and that's it. I liked the play of light on the metalic gold wall behind it in constrast to the flattened, unfinished wood in the chair. I even liked the heavy border and long crop of it. Artsy point of view. Will it "fly" in here? That is the question that I will soon find out with either 4's (perhaps lower) or 6's.

The heavy framing seems to be taking my score down however, I had a vision of how I wanted it to be perceived and the heavy framing worked in that aspect. Ah well...you try, you learn. :)

It's difficult to incorporate a chair into a still life but you managed it very well! Interesting framing effect too!

You got some good helpful info from Steve. The border doesn't bother me. I like that light on the wall in the background.

Thank you, Steve for your very helpful comment on the pixilation. I usually do save at the highest resolution within DPC parameters but, last minute and very fast adjustments took it down. I'll have to remain vigilant on that from here on out. Grateful for the technical help! :)

I see lots of blocky compression artifacts in this image. Most evident around the glasses and the top of the chair. Your file size of only 50k confirms the use of excessive JPEG compression. Compression kills detail and creates artifacts. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit.

Aside from that, it's a good shot with good lighting.

Always the best way. I could see this hanging in an art gallery. Super image.

Good lighting; Border way too large IMO.
