Two chairs, as found (as indicated in the title, in situ meaning in place). The location is the same farm where I shot the two Clydesdale mares gallumphing through the snow, only up in the loft. Camera on tripod, ambient lighting only.

I like the very old and rustic look of the barn, and can see why you included as much of it as you could without distracting too much from the chairs.
My first take on your description was a mental image of two clydesdales "gallhumphing" around in snow in the loft. : ) It's 4:30 am, what can I say?

i like the context! (what do i want with a picture of just chairs ;-) excellent tones, engaging details - especially love the light spilling through the walls. congrats on the nice score and placement.

Greetings from the Critique Club.

First impressions are of the tones - they are great!

Technically this seems exposed well. The composition is good but everything seems on a slight lean. There are plenty of leading lines however they take us away from the chairs and off to the bright light through the boards.

Artistically there is plenty for us to look at here. I do feel that less of the surroundings and more of the cobweb covered chairs would have added to the appeal. The title is fine, don't listen to them!

In summary a good shot (it did get a 6.4) but I think it could have easily been top 10 with some work.

Feel free to PM me if you have any queries.

Nice. I can sort of imagine an earlier scene there with a barn dance. Might have been cool to include some small thing on the side of the chair that its occupant dropped...

Love the warm tones and "earthy" feel to this image. Not sure what you did for processing but its just right in my books. At first the light coming through the back/side of the barn might be considered to be blow highlights but I see it was an interesting way of incorporating the sun in the image.

The leading lines of the wall lead right to our chairs which of course is key in this challenge.

Great job!
