In the bulrushes. How lovely. Finnish for reed = kaisla
Bulrush is probably something similar, actually, järvikaisla, meaning quite literally lake reed.

Nice perspective, and I can just about spot the sea creature rolling silently through the mist. |

Is that fog on the water? Looks very cool. The halo around the trees is nice too. So many vertical lines I keep looking up. :) |

Beautiful shot, the blur makes it look like there is a layer of mist on the water. |

Like the verticals here. Even the blur has a sense of being vertical. I just like looking at this. |

I don't know what it is about cattails but they are so intriguing to me. They remind me of resilient guards of the waters edge, withstanding a beating from the elements day after day, storm after storm, from season to season. Slowly tiring and weathering away until they are unable to stand at attention any longer, only to be replaced by another who will take their place standing guard in the spring. cool shot, love the tone and fog! |

Love Judy's poem for this one! Really does look like mist coming off the water and the slight acid (I think) keeps it cold. But then there's that hint of warmth on the horizon beyond... |

as the cattails guarded the shore
the murmuring winds
asked for more
more reeds to stand tall
amidst the grass
a waters edge chorus
to rustle en mass
whistling
whispering
waving
clinging
what do you think
is in their singing?

looks like a mist rolling in over the water. The tones and composition together with the blur is most pleasing! : ) |
