I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Wow - what a brave juxtaposition, even more so when emphasised with the selective desaturation. It is very well executed though - great lighting, great textures, nice DOF.

Critical stuff: Nothing to suggest on the editing front - I might have been tempted to shoot it with a lower POV, but that's just me.

Overall: Interesting; would love to know more about your motivation for the picture.

Waldo is late for this evening's date, I'm afraid. He is still at his apartment considering if he is ready for this relationship. As intelligent and beautiful as she may be, he feels there is still something missing.

Well, now, that's certainly a fascinating contrast in ... pretty much every way I can think of. Makes me stop and say, "Huh???" which is a good thing.

Normally I'd haul out the tired old "selective desat" comment for a shot like this. But this is so shocking and surprising and strange and just fun, that I don't think it even applies.
