Spectacular image! Surprised it didn't do better. I think it deserves a bluebird!

reminds me of the scene in Peter Pan where Peter's shadow has it's own personality, great shot!

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: There is a real sense of authenticity and candidness in this image, boys at play with no mind of you or your camera. Your title is truly part of the work and serves to guide the eye and to communicate your interpretation of the image so. The light is great, the low sun casting the compelling shadows adds slight warmth to the chill the clothing suggests.

Critical stuff: Of course I wish that the back shadow wasn't clipped, but your image can carry that. Coloration wise, I'd have probably taken the green channel down in the wall area (but that is just a habit of mine - you won't find too much green in most of my images).

Overall: Very nice candid work.

this reminds me of Where the Wild Things Are.. To me the best part is the shadow bumping up

Great capture of a fun moment .. would be even better if the little lad in orange was looking back over his shoulder. Well seen moment though.
