The sky was gray as a cloud bank over the coast blocked the sunset, so I put on my blue/gold circular polarizer which gives strong color shifts depending on how you twist it. I also used a grduated ND filter to balance the sky and foreground. There is a beach/waterfront in SF that during low tides reveals where people have thrown old tires in the water. The water though was too low for what I wanted so I found this single tire left far out at the end of the cove.

looks like a watercolor, nice and soft, then the tire brings you back to reality, and reminds you that you're looking at a factory;; very nice

I think the single tire works perfectly for this. I like the colors but wonder how this would look in B&W.

Unique colors, excellent movement, and I like the implied connection of the tire and factory.

Those are interesting colors! Thanks for your description on how they were achieved! Even though the industrial building isn't any romantic, the image has a very peaceful dreamy atmosphere! I love the reflections and light stars!

Wow... Super resolution and great colors! Makes a strong statement about industrialism as well. These colors would work very well in the current Cold II Challenge.
