The same procedure as except that the blend mode was lighten throughout and the extra canvas on the head side of the lizards.

Now all we need to do is create a piece of jewelry that looks exactly like this - would make a great brooch in and of itself.

This is fascinating. What bothers me, though, is that it's been allowed to go pure white on the highlights. You can do repeated runs of shadow/highlight between iterations to keep that effect from multiplying the way it has here. Beautiful composition.
