 I hope I don't get burned by the purists that read the challenge os "only" fruits.

DId a lot if set up on this. Going for the classic still life from the Impressionists. Natural side light from a window. I hope it creates depth with the side light modeling the fruit.

I tried to pick the colors that would go from yellows to reds to browns. I had other fruits, but they seemed to fight in the color palette, so I took them out.

Put a bit of lens blur on the background since I didn't have the room to separate from the main subject. Lot's of selective dodge and burn to bring out detail.

I am pleased with the result.

Loving the Zeiss 50mm 1.4 I got for Christmas. What an amazing lens!

At first glance this feels like two photos merged together; bright, comtemporary type of image on the left, and a more traditional, subtly lit classic style on the right. The background even seems split (even though it's obviously one piece). Interesting.

nice, but there's probably a little too much here...flowers, nuts, bread, ceramics...lighting is very good...somewhere between 6 and 7 so I will give you a 7
