Very nice composition. Love the tilt and the point of focus. The blur works really well with the naturalness of everything. It looks like a serene, relaxing, and comfortable place.

Great use of DOF. Excellent composition and the photo has a feeling of reminiscing thanks to your excellent processing. I like this shot very much.

Now... please bear with me... I'm revisiting a little comment experiment I conducted in the 2009-03 Free Study... something like K10DGuy's comments, but with a twist... the twist being, the story will move from one photo to another within the challenge... also, I don't select just a few photos I start at the first and end on the last as determined by DPC random order assigned to me, with a single sentence for each photo... should be interesting... and you're photo is #6 in the series

Beautiful fences once decorated these beaches, but no more... these are now simply memories.

Interesting composition of a pretty dull subject. Lighting a little too bland. A little more "pop" in the post processing could help. 5

I love the muted colors and the composition is perfect! The tilt of the camera combined with diagonals really works well. I also like the softness, very dreamy!

good dof, but good for your photo album, not for Best of 2009

nice POV but lacks a bit of interest

Technically it's beautiful -- the exposure, the bokeh, etc. Compositionally it's lacking though. It's not abstract enough to stand on it's own. Not sure what the tilt is adding.

I was going to say that the colors are slightly muted and that it could do with a touch of saturation and a boost in some contrasts but then I stopped myself. Those slightly muted colors give the sense of age...of a memory recalled of a happy past event. Perfect when playing into the mood of nostalgia and reaching back to happy childhood memories. Some might not like the off kilter composition but I find that it is appealing because you use the ropes and posts on the almost diagonal line that leads my eye to the beachshore. That diagonal could be stronger though if you matched the rope perfectly up with the bottom right corner which would automatically tilt the last post off in the distance to the top left corner. Bumping up to a 7.

to be honest, I'm not sure that the post and the rope are that interesting of a subject. It doesn't have much character to it. However, it blurs remarkably beautiful! The two posts in the distance and the distant grasses have such a dream-like quality to them. I wish the front post could somehow be a little less prominent.

Lovely colors, lovely background, and very good choice of title. -7-

Nice shot but needing a bit more brightness contrast to make it pop to my eye

I like the angle and the DOF. Nice detail in the rope.
