It is very hard to get a good dynamic balance with varying shades of white/high key. You did a splendid job here. The details are wonderful and complementary to this 'snowqueen' from the star shaped jewels in her crown to the curled swirls in the whipple outlining her masked face. I do have one small critique to suggest that would make this outstanding capture even better and that is I wish there were some nice catchlights in her dark eyes. The sparkle there would really liven up the eyes, not to mention complement the sparkle of gems in her crown.

I really like this one. Nice DOF. I like the contrast between the two of them. One sharp and the other blurred. The B&W is nice.

The out of focus person in the back is a nice addition to this photo, what is this from?

well done...super good focus, might have run a noise filter for the background but that may have been what you were after

Very nice. I'll have to keep this shot in mind when I go to the Mardi Gras next moth. The shallow DOF is perfect.

I like the DOF and the composition. Very interesting to look at. A lot of grain in the photo, not sure if that was intentional or not.

Wow..looks surreal and im not sure if this is a doll or real woman. The eyes give it away though. What really makes this shot for me is the blurred head in back and the black empty eyes that gives no clue however - looking onto the queen. Eary... Me like 8

The figure in the background is really distracting--cropping out the whole left half would have made a much more dramatic pix.
