This is the waterfalls at Mine Kill State Park. I discovered this place by serendipity on my way to Kaaterskill Falls, but going the "back scenic way" instead of the highway,

Thanks for all the nice comments (and of course, the nice placement!)

One of the prettiest landscapes I've seen in a long time. Great shot. Congrats on top 25.

Very grand, very nice landscape. Good shot too, but for me I think you've overdone it a bit with the processing. It's such an interesting landscape I think it speaks volumes on its own without the heavy handed editing.

This, honestly, is just stunning. My top pick of the challenge... and there are some other images that are extremely good in this bunch. You've nailed the composition, and of course the content is beautiful. What takes it to the next level, IMO, is the fact that you have held the maximal amount of detail, with no hint of oversharpening. Nice job.
From the sun angle and the foreground detail, I do assume this is multiple exposure HDR; it is, IMO, what HDR is all about, rendering a natural scene believably, yet with more detail in darker areas than would normally be possible.

Beautifull setting. PP work i hope to learn from this. Rocks on right, especially bottom right looks very soft and not overall sharp

Love the textures all over the photo, rocks, plants, clouds, water, great! I also like the title, I googled what it was and love it even more!

a very beautiful spot...did you use a fisheye? the area seems to have a curve to it so I'm guessing the fisheye...nice color...not pushed to much...well done

So, so surreal. Almost too surreal.
It's...difficult to describe. There is so much going on, and everything is beautiful. This picture is overpowering.
I will be picky and point out the left top corner with the oddly-colored clouds.

great location...but the processing really makes it look fake/plastic...I like it overall, but it screams post processed to th max at me...still, a 7

Well done. Please dont get me wrong, this is a fantastic shot. But I may have tried 1)cropping out the distorted, low contrast trees on the left. 2) Flipping horizontally because the rocks are perfect to bring you in to the photo. Again, thanks for sharing.

The color of the sky really helps draw the eye into the center. I think because it's so close in color to the rocks on the right.

Ah, someone has been into the Tolkien:-) But isn't it spelled with an 'e' LaurelindorEnan? Yes, this is very lovely scene that dazzles our eyes with the natural beauty. Colors are beautiful and the soft flow capture of the waterfall makes it look surreal. One odd thing is that there is an odd curvature in the scene - the trees to the left are bending inward as well as the rock face of the mountain on the right. The mountain cliff leaning forward towards us seems to be looming and almost pressing it's weight forward to propel us past the waterfall. A very beautiful and enchanting place you have captured.

Nice example of HDR. Looks a bit over-processed and cluttered though. Maybe too dark - it doesn't really make me feel happy - like the title implies.
