Excellent use of the shadows, they look like claws ready to engulf the other tree. I bet this would look great in B&W. |

Very cool shot, looks like the shadows are trying to eat the trees... |

The shadows are reaching for the other trees - very cool! The blue sky is very pretty too. |

Very engaging image!
The shadow are extending as if reaching to grasp those two trees. Very well spotted and composed. |

You know in B&W this would have looked quite sinister! |

A really stunning image. I love those shadows - your title is so apt. The other trees being set cleanly against the sky is great. |

Fantastic. What a unique tree 'portrait'! Also particularly like the way you've saturated the blue to hyperreal level. Nicely done. But a little airy on the theme there! I think you should call it, 'Surprise of the week' :) |

There's an Ent behind you!
Heh.
Nice composition/wholeness.
ETA - I'd probably try to rotate the trunk of the standing tree on the right to more apparently vertical :)

I like this one. It has a menacing, ominous feel to it as the shadows reach out to wards the two trees in the distance. |

Good use of lines in the landscape to draw the eye in! |
