The original style MR2, surely this will become a classic car one day. This view shows off the unique styling. Used PS CS to desaturate all five colours apart from reds, virtually no other processing apart from a little USM, crop and resize. Just remembered I had to selectively desaturate the flowers on the wall of the house opposite, seen through the windshield.
+0.3 real exposure compensation.
Canon EF 28-135mm IS USM zoom at 35mm
Took an identical photo at f/3.5 and 1/250s and there is nothing to chose between them. The difference in DoF is not noticeable. The camera was tripod mounted.
Used a circular polarising filter to minimise reflections on the bodywork.

Greetings from the Critque Club!

Composition:
I strongly agree with nborton; a more unique perspective would be a lot more interesting. There is nothing that makes this shot "special" if you will. As far as the challenge, I think this is "O.K." but again nothing special. I wrote a short forum post on how to choose good selective desaturation photos. You might want to read it here.

Lighting:
Your lighting is fine, seems pretty midday, you might want to consider early evening, or late morning for warmer light.

Technical:
Your photo is technically sound. But I find it hard to believe that the f/3.5 was the same as the f/22 shot. Were you just looking at the car for comparison?

Post-processing:
Your editing is fine, I see no problems with it. I don't have any suggestions either though.

Overall:
A very average photo, that's what hurt your score. I think if you choose a better subject for selective desaturation, you'd have a much more intriguing photo.

I used to have that same car, even the same color! The background is very distracting, but the selective desaturation helps make the car stand out better

Very good de-sat work. The photograph is a bit too centered and snapshot-like for my taste.

Should have greyscaled the license plate and kept with the red theme.
