Shot this in Antelope Canyon, near Page, AZ. If you've never been here, I highly recommend it. Bring a tripod and take the photo tour, not the general tour. I was on the general tour and the tour moves to fast to really have time to take the photos. Also, if it's windy, be prepared to be covered in sand and have sand in your camera gear. When I was done with this series of shots, my zoom was jammed full of sand on my Nikon 17-55mm/2.8. The camera was full of sand as well. I was able to clean it up, but I thought both camera and lens were toast.

an often photographed place...I just reckon this one lacks punch. It's more of a tourist snapshot to me. the ones that work is where there are shafts of light or a towering perspective...this looks too 'point and shoot' to me. Sorry :(

I still give it a 6

The wall on the right side of the picture is distracting because it doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the shot.

I've seen this and for me this is flat/dull in the colors, you have great detail in the sandstone. This is called "The Candle"...see the flame at the top...
