This is a baby King Parrot eating my camelia seed pods! As they mature they become a very stunning birds ... the males having a bright red chest and the females a green chest.

lovely capture...I agree with Ken, maybe a touch off the top of the frame to bring it closer ;-)

Well we certainly don't see colourful birds like this around here :) Bit cheeky

The colors and clarity here are outstanding. Compositionally it may be a bit stronger with a bit off the top of the frame.

:-), so sweet capture; as if you caught him in the act and he (looks she according to your description), is feeling a bit sheepish.

Magnificent creature, lucky you. Good idea with the native plants, I suspect.
Neat capture.

Yes these birds are wild and as we are on the edge of an escarpment they fly down daily for their treats ...some people feed them but we don't bother as they can become very noisy as lorrikeets and cockatoos join in as well and before long you have 20 or 30 birds fighting over the food. We have planted native trees and shrubs and that way you still see the birds but in a much more civil way!

I hope you like the Parrot better than the camelia seed pods! Great focus where it needs to be and I like the composition.
