Here I am trying to demonstrate how the Tokina 12-24 faithfully reproduces straight horizontal and vertical lines at wide angles, when I remember that the wall to the right isn't actually straight. Neither is the ceiling :) As anyone who does a fair bit of this sort of work would know, they seldom are.
Still n all, you don't see distortion.
