 Seascapes are definitely what I do most, especially when it comes to DPC. Long exposures are even more Philip signature. I doubt whether anybody would know that it's me, but misty sea water around rocks at sunset, as cliche as it may be, is what I do most.

When it comes to processing, I have lately been doing the whole multiple exposure blending thing, but for a super long exposure, I just had to go back to good ol' grad filter and my faithful 9 stop ND filter. I know the processing is quite extreme, but I wanted the white of the misty water to have a lot of punch.

I expect this challenge to have some killer waterdrop/bugs/flowers/children, but I hope the voters like this :)

Thanks to all the kind voters! I am also flattered by all of the commenters guessing me to be some wonderful photographers. Being mistaken for a dpc heavyweight was one of my goals. I think it's safe to cross that one out now :)

Hey Philip,

I have a D90, but the shutter speed supported is 30 to 1/4000 sec.
How did you manage 93 seconds snap?

Hey Philip. I had to smile when I saw the shot and even more so reading the peoples guessing down below. So many people knowing you by now is a testimony to your work. Great shot. Did not vote or comment on this challenge but did see it during voting and it was a no brainer. Keep it up!

Now this looks very familiar! Too lazy to go find out who I think this might belong to - I'll just assume you already have too many ribbons and give this a 1. ...cuz that's *MY* signature style. :P

LOL - I'm just razzin! I could tell you got all riled up and were about to post a complaint in the forums about this troll. ;-) Ok, enough goofin around - this is obviously stunning and spectacular. So, a stuntacular 9 from me.

A wonderful long exposure landscape, with deep DOF good use of leading lines. Colours are wonderful too.

Long exposure, rugged coast narrows this down. It's likely the excellent landscape/seascape of jdannels. Great work!

If I'm guessing -- 84% into the voting -- this is the blue ribbon winner! With photos like this setting the bar -- its no wonder I rarely think mine are good enough to enter :) Congratulations on an off-the-chart 10 in every aspect: technical, composition, and beautiful and interesting artistry.
