 First of all, I'd like to say a big thank you to Filipe, who was very brave to accept my offer to be a model for impotence.

Secondly, Telma would like everyone to know that Filipe is very much fully-functional! :-)

I set up two strobes in my bedroom, and told them basically what I had in mind - they were fantastic. Then I cropped and straightened in ACR, and adjusted levels/curves and dodged some darker areas in Photoshop before resizing, sharpening and saving for web.

Well, Friday evening and 24 comments and 5 favourites. I know this photo isn't a winner, but the amount of interest it has gained over the last few days has been amazing. It's good to be controversial sometimes. :-)

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Initial impression: Ooh, I get to do this one! I gave it a 7 during voting and am very glad I did. Still makes me giggle looking at it. Don't know why I didn't give it an 8.

Technical: OMG there's a shadow on the wall!!!! AAAAAHHH!!! Ok, now that that's out of my system - nicely lit, great undistractng set, colours are nice and pop well, love the little flip of hair covering her eye. PP not obvious, always a bonus.

Artistic: HUGE kudos to Telma and Filipe! Her expression of 'Oh, am I getting any tonight?...nahhh' and his expression of 'Nahhh, leave me alone woman' are just absolutely wonderful. My only nitpick is the hunk of green on the covers, is that meant to be money?

Overall: Still very funny, and clearly the majority of commenters think so too. And you got an honourable mention and considering that humour is a very subjective topic, you clearly struck a nerve. Well done!

I dont know whether to laugh at this pic or not. Ill take it in a good spirit and then it truly is hilarious...But be carefull out there for the voters who could be nasty and might take it personal....and propably will.
Photography wise I believe A more flattering light representing a true bedroom scene would have been better...Then again this lighting could very well contribute to the coldness/starkness and the sad but funny scene. Well, good luck anyway - 7 from me

HA HA HA!!!!! hope it does well. I really needed a laugh today and this hits the spot. you should get a few 10s with this could try a splint or remove the stone from his shoe. ( that what makes one Limp).

I love the colours on this one, and it's a perfect take on the subject, nobody thought of it :)
Great lighting use (shame of the shadow on the wall), and very good definition.
I wish the condom could be more visible, but it's a picture that doesn't need explanation :-P
