My wife was nice and let me practice some lighting with her. She was also able to play with some new makeup.

The shot is with a two light set up. I used one light blowout the background and one light for her. I filled the shadow side with a white reflector.

RAW conversion
Basic touch up of skin and fuzzies in the hair
Highpass filter w/ overlay
Curves
Levels
Save to jpg

Excellent -- nicely posed, nicely lit, nicely made up, nice details. (But I think the frame detracts a bit from your wonderful subject.)

nice lighting. might try dodging the eyes to bring back some detail there. your wife's make-up is very neat!
