2.auto levels

3.levels adjust, 6,1.2,215

4.selective color adjust, cyans: cyan +20, yellow -82; blues: yellow -45; whites: black +28

5.copy background layer, curves adjust, "negative" preset, set to luminosity

6.levels adjust, 17, 0.95, 244

7.brightness +9

8.high pass sharpen, resize, sharpen, save for web

If lace were somehow left outside and allowed to crack in the sun, in perfect symmetry. It would look like this. :)
