Note the speedlites w/ gels set to 1/4 power

Speedliltes between her legs and behind her head set to approx 1/2 power

Softbox set to f4 (if I remember correctly)

Seriously brilliant... haha at what Sandy said below! Another way I've found to make a nice star is to add a piece of cardboard with a 1" hole cut out of the center and placed over the flash head. I think it helps create the star when you are shooting with a larger aperture.

Tee hee! THAT is so freaking brilliant! I love that title, and I'm sure they will appreciate this much more than a care sack with shaving cream and tooth paste in it! :)

I love the star flash between her legs. This is terrific. No USO show could beat this. :)

No photoshop or filter. That's Quigley holding a flash back there. The star happens when you face that flash directly towards the camera.


I'll be giving that a go on saturday then :)

lol fantastic I'm going to have to try this; did you use a starburst filter or did it just work out that way, or better still did you simply put that light in using "the shop"
