Well this photo started off at 6.0 and stayed within the 5.8 to 6.0 range for nearly 50 votes before it started nose diving. I really appreciate the positive comments I've received and wish the score reflected that better.
It seems a lot of voters interpreted the challenge as a "shoot a photo of the moon". The description of the challenge calls it a Moon themed challenge which means anything related to the Moon would fit. Apparently a number of voters didn't see it that way which is par for the course.

I'm happy with the image and that's what matters.
