Nice capture - kept simple like this with a fairly tight crop allows us to see the person - as well as the bandana and dreadlocks .

i think if this was shot without the direct overhead sunlight it would take it from really good to amazing

Excellent portrait - I love the contemplative nature of it and all the contrasting textures. Nice lighting and composition too!

Ohhhhhhhh MAN! HE is BEAUTIFUL! And YOU did him such fabulous justice! Are those the tell tale hints of dred locks? OMG. . . he is amazing looking. I hope you captured him for the 1 in 7 billion portraits challenge going on. Cuz he IS!

Nice composition, excellent use of DoF, good use of lighting. The only drawback would be the shadow on the left eye seems a little harsh. Maybe use a diffuser to screen out some of the harshness and even the lighting a little....otherwise excellent.

Excellent job here. Great details and sharpness, nicely composed/posed. Lighting is good but my only quibble is the shadow in his left eye; taking this closer to sunrise or sunset may have reduced/eliminated the shadow.
