The first thing I notice is the complete lack of focus, like there was an attempt to make the image in the 'dreamy' style. The second thing I noticed is the complete lack of contrast as well as any sort of semblance of white which every element in this piece is screaming for. It really feels bland, dull, faded and unappealing for me.

The contrast here feels a bit flat, which is further accentuated by your bleach white border.

The softness, lack of contrast, and low saturation are an interesting effect, but I do not find it too interesting. I do like the gulls focus on something off to camera right though.

This reminds me of an old somewhat faded Polaroid with the muted and softly blending colours but that gives it an old-school charm. I like how each of the 11 gulls is facing the same direction against the wind.
