This is the mouth of a sea-urchin, stuck to the window of an aquarium. You can see the green bits (the algae it's eating) on its teeth and the telltale white needles in the top of the image.

The actual opening with its teeth is only about 2mm wide. I realize it is very grainy. Unfortunately I could not get a better lightning in place. Maybe I should have gone to the fish-shop and get a microscope instead of my camera :-)
