I'd suggest trying to catch him in a more active pose, and maybe try not using a centered composition for this particular subject matter. As is, the scene just feels too typical, so changing things up to try and present the duck in a new manner to the viewer will really liven things up.

Nice clean image, I enjoy the fact I can see some texture in the feathers and they have not been smoothed over.
