 This is not a texture overlay, but I did use overlays and blending modes for the light beams and lens flare in the lamps, so it loosely fits into this category :-)
Actually I did a version of this many years ago, but I've revisited it from time to time as I gain new photoshopping skills I want to apply to it. At first it was just the cat in the top window. Recently I added the light beams (how to below) and lit lamps (just using the light flare effect). I've messed with the colors a bit too, still not totally happy with the tones but I'm not sure what I think I want, so...
