 This is my first submission, and it just kind of fell together. The same day I found "painting with light" on Flickr, my wife bought a "wireless under cabinet LED" light for the kitchen, so I figured I'd play around with it in the "studio".

While shooting and chimping in the dark, I saw that my face was showing up in the exposure, so I started trying to get something that would work for the challenge.

Not much post-processing involved here. Just selected the tungsten temp for the RAW and cropped it. Also, had to fix a "hot pixel" on the top edge of the picture.

I'm not expecting much from this first try. I'm just hoping I get the submission right, and anything else is bonus.

All criticism is very welcome here.

Thanks to all for the experience. If this isn't a sure-fire way to keep the dust off the camera bag, nothing is!

I like the abstract arcs juxtaposed against the face. Not sure how well it fits the challenge but among my favorites this challenge.

Nice light painting, with an excellent pattern, but not sure of the connection to "hatred incarnate."

Next time probably try it in red, it could speak more of hate.

Blue invokes more of a feeling of sorrow or apathy rather than hate...at least for me, so this didn't work so well for me. I get no feeling of hatred from it.
