We were out driving and passed this horse standing reflected in a dam. We turned around and went back and she had left and I thought I'd missed the shot. However she came back and stood in the water splashing, so I did better than I thought I would. She had a foal too, but it didn't come any closer after mum started the splashing, in fact it ran the other way.
Original
First I cloned out all the background distractions and blurred them as much as I could, but the area was a bit patterned so then I used an overlay created from a dirty window, blurred and lightened. Then I did a Filter Forge sepia filter on a new layer and a Filter Forge old photo on another layer and blended them all in hard light mode at 50% at which stage there was still some colour in the image but then I decided to only save the merged duplicated layers and discarded the background.

Beautiful horse...unusual to see them splashing about I would think.

Lovely processing :-) There is something about white horses that make me start thinking of fairy tales, and this image would fit neatly into one.
