Great study of DOF and Composition. I like the fence, its cute. The composition is great with the near foreground blurred and the focus begining on the first post that is aligned on the lower left intersection point of your vertical and horizontal axis points. I also like the depth that is created by the diagonal of the fence running back into the frame and into the less focused area. I would try a bit of a contrast boost or a brightness adjustment to give more of a sunny day feel to it. It may help this one alot.

I like this. Don't know if it would brighten up and tad with a levels adjustment and still look ok, but I'd take a quick swipe at it just to see.
