Since bugs and flowers were out of the question, when the family dog discovered this skull, I knew I had to submit it.

This picture is awesome. Despite the subject matter being something most people aren't happy to see, I think that it's incredible to be able to photograph something like this. I mean, really, it's just an arbitrary object with a whole lot of symbolic meaning. It can be made into anything, and you made it dramatic, interesting, and eye-catching. Stepping away from that, I only wish that more of the skull were visible. Had I voted, I would have given it a 7-8.

gives me the willies...IMO you had to get much closer to your subject (mind you I'd of found a different subject)...

Gruesome. I would have taken from the other side where there's more light imho. Front teeth should have been in more focus than the chin hairs.
