| This is surprising. Neither the flat ambient light, nor the urban clutter have been tweaked to lend some semblance of a selective "mood". Instead of being lulled into some splendid arrangement of trouvée and embellishments, we fall over the miracle in mid-air, between lights, expecting no more than Coke or pigeons. The result is persuasive as steel. |
