| I'm giving you either a 6 or 7 (haven't quite decided yet). I would of scored higher if the person standing on the box was not cut off in the middle, or if he would of been left out of the picture all together. |

| Love the composition and subject. Would give it an extra point or two with a more precise focus. But I can understand you choice of focus and your title. |

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: Finding this one hard to look at - I've never met anyone who is more anti-smoking than me and normally I wouldn't choose to look at this for as long as it takes me to make these longer comments. This certainly is a slice of life and I certainly do, despite my prejudice, appreciate the authenticity of the image. It clearly pretty rich in social commentary too. Technically, I think the light (and slight vignetting) is the best part of the image.
Critical stuff: Of course you know this is out of focus; I'm not sure it matters and I think you know that too. Extra sharpness would add nothing to the story.
Overall: Not an image that I like, but one that I can respect.

| unfortunately I'm not a fan of underage smoking (I'm not a fan of smoking at all for that matter)...that is what I see in this picture...sorry |
