 I thought I would reshoot one of my challenge entries from 2007 now that I've build a light tent. I metered off the light tent lighting then used the drag-the-shutter technique with a diffused flash on camera.

Processed with PSP X

1) Used Histogram Adjust to set the black point at 47 and the white point at 239
2) USM [radius 50 - strength 15 - clip 3]
3) USM [radius 0.3 - strength 300 - clip 3]
4) Digital Noise Removal @ defult setting
5) Clarify @ setting 3
6) Curve for contrast
7) Crop (8x10) and resize to 700 on longest
8) USM [radius 1.0 - strength 100 - clip 3]
9) Add border (3 pixels grey, 40 pixels white, then 7 pixels black)

A little Andy Warhol inspiration.... nice clean image. Nice execution of the idea.
It looks like it could benefit from using Neat Image or similar tool to smooth out the background and make it super-clean.
