a really nice piece. I like thee use of shallow DoF with that wider lens. Very interesting result.

Beautiful conversion, tones and vignetting. Whether you found it that way or not, that open hood is a great little detail in this shot.

Shots like this are the reason I still hang out at this place. They make me realize that while we do see a lot of the same things over and over again, every now and then you get something that invites a viewer to linger, to see the stories, to make connections that perhaps even the photographer didn't see. Or to simply just appreciate.

This is wonderfully evocative. Love the low angle and blurred vignette all adding to the classic 50s feel. Very Hitchcock. In my top ten of the challenge. 9.

A trip back in time. Nicely composed from afar -- the distance in space echoes the distance in time nicely.

Among the best images I've seen so far in the challenge. I love the low point of view, the B&W treatment. It feels dreamlike and is titled superbly.

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:

Positives: Wow, what an atmospheric image - the selective focus and monochrome tones work so well with this nostalgic scene. The crispness of the house is particularly compelling. Compositionally, I really like how you have offered a lot of negative space at the bottom.

Critical stuff: Nothing at all.

Overall: Superb stuff - I could be wrong but I wonder whether this is RKT
