Challenge: Symmetry III (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon PowerShot S3 IS
Location: Brunswick, MD

Galleries: Still Life, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Nov 5, 2009

I had to stab the fork into the carpet of my schools hallway to get it to stand up, and then I held a way too big of light fixture in front of it to create the shadow.

Hold it steady and snap.

Then, using PS, I converted the photo to black and white, tweeked the contrast to prefered levels, cropped, sized, and finished with a border.

Done.

And I know my score will probably go down because of the lack of symmetry in the background, but I didn't want to lose the shadow by moving. If you notice, the carpet is diagonal.

Please comment.

You may have received DNMC's but your entry fits the spirit and 1st looser definition of the word symmetry perfectly.
