I elected to use a rating table to decide on what value to assign during voting.
Here’s the table:
1 No Animal/People Interaction
2 Slightly Appealing, but no Animal/People Interaction
3 Moderately Appealing, but on Animal/People Interaction
4 Greatly Appealing, but no Animal/People interaction
5 Not Appealing, but possessing Animal/People Interaction
6 Slightly Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
7 Moderately Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
8 Greatly Appealing and possessing Animal People Interaction
9 Better than #8, and caused an audible sigh
10 Better than #9, and would likely declare it a favorite

A different angle, maybe less harsh colors and a little better focus, and this might have been a very intriguing photo. I like how the person is half cropped off...

Not in the true spirit of the challenge imo. Animal is not alive or even stuffed. Saturation poor and street through window detracts from shot. Sorry! The only similarity I can see is that it's a man made representation and fits the challenge in that way. Bumped one more point.

i like the slightly different take on the theme... i wish the quality was better though, and it could benefit from a tighter crop and a better considered composition.

This is a different take, not much interaction here and there's too much red in the image for me. Image also looks out of focus.
