 My idea was to feature a great big orange sun as the Great Pumpkin. The idea came to me as I woke up on the last morning of the challenge. I jumped out of bed, sped off to the supermarket to get a pumpkin, and sped down to the beach with minutes to go before sunrise.

Then to my surprise this was a very hard concept to pull off without lights. Either the pumpkin was well exposed and the sun was blown out, or the sun had a good color and the pumpkin was practally invisible. Finally I had to do a psudo-HDR - overlayed two differently exposed shots, and used a mask to get the final image.

The pumpkin is a little dark, which takes away from it, but I like your approach. :)

nice photo. beautiful sunset. luve the colours, especially the water. a little light on the pumpkin would have made it more the focus which i think it is meant to be.
