I just knew when this came up that it was going to be yours - and I was right! Terrific shot. Love that guy's expression. Great job and not a bad finish, either!

Ok, I went and searched it. Guess I displayed my ignorance, didn't I? (I wear my ignorance proudly.)

well done on the top 10 Steve. Never did get around to voting, so sorry for that. This has such a lot of character. Love it. Loved the reference to Weegee.

Something about this told me it could be yours. A well deserved high score, though it should have ribboned. I need to ask, is Weegee this guy's name?

The angle doesn't feel very tilted, so I worry whether people are being harsh on you (portrait would have probably worked better.)

Personally, I think the angle works fine, and I think it's an extremely interesting photo! -9-

Oh man! This is FABULOUS! What an edgy, a-MAZING portrait and work of art! It is perfection for this type of portrait! 10

Fabulous shot - slightly bothered by the halo-ish appearance around the hat but a great, great shot nonetheless.

I want to be able to do people shots this well someday. Faving this one and giving it a very high vote. I'll be interested in the details of this shot.

Superior - I generally dislike both centered comps & tilts, but this is really great. His face is so expressive, and you captured him well. (The white of his eyes are a little too white for me - I'd prefer if they blended a bit like his shirt color, but perhaps it was the eyes that drew me in to begin with)

excellent portrait, perfect focus, DOF and b/w conversion. the tilt is too slight to be mentioned, but as you have "portrait" as a further technique I'll only deduct 1 of 10.

Reminds me of Buster Keeton with a little Pablo Picasso thrown in. This is great.
