Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

I really like the shot too and I didn't think it would score well but I had no idea it would elicit such a positive response from some of the DP challenge artists I respect most!

There's something very Hitchcock about this. The composure and subject, even without the birds are all quite sinister looking!
