Ok, I really liked this shot. But I liked it with the full door and tables and chairs, but then I figured it really wouldn't fall in the "from a window" category.

I've gone from really liking it and thinking it will do well, to thinking it will tank. So I'm playing Yo_Spiff's bingo game

"it's not from a window"
"they moved--the hands are out of focus"
"over processed"
"blown exposure at the top"

ok, 32 minutes to close and it's at 6.5! There's already lots of high scores posting, so I don't think it will make top 10, but a 6.5 is still pretty exciting for me -- it's certainly in my top ten!

Here's my preferred shot, including the door and patio:

I really love window shots taken from the outside. There is something special about shots like these.

Nice candid shot, the girl on the right, looks like she is framed.

I really like these window type shots. The fact that it's candid is what makes it so great. Very nice.

I thought the focus was on the contradiction in this photograph that makes it really unny! The girl on the left, you can almost look under her skirt and she has the big title "Frozen custard" on her window. On the other side you see the others sitting in a more gallant way with on their window "hot dogs"... Man, when I saw that, the picture is worth an A+!!!!

First, superb shot, but with that said I like the uncropped version better, it tells a better story. I bet that didn’t help, LOL. Regardless, I enjoyed..

I agree with you - I like it the whole original version better too. It's a great image and a nice story going on...
I don't think that would dnmc the image (but we'll never know how things happen around here, as you got a strong score). Congratulations on a very good job and on top 20 finish!

I love the mood & lighting in this lovely scene.....I would like to see it with the doorway cropped out, or more of the door, but it's still a fine image, IMO.....8

Wonderful! A nice glimpse. Nice handling of the light and the differing color tones it has, and I like your viewpoint to include the young man working in the back.
