The mood and timeliness of this capture is amazing. I like the way you chose Black & White effect for this. Suits very well.

For this kind of shots, where there is already a frame, I would align the image with the frame as much as possible. Here in this case, the frame of your image looks tilted with the window sill reference. I would avoid that as much as possible. I understand for candids with kids, you will have very less time to think :)

This has such emotion. The light is just stunning as it outlines the little one's hair, legs and arm. The crop at the bottom is a touch tight.
