There used to be the biggest gypsy community village underneath a big urban highway bridge. What you can see on the photo are the remnants of that "city" and the huge piles of rubble that used to be the carton homes to many thousands of Roma...
The government provided appartments to most of the gypsies somewhere in the suburbs or outside of Belgrade, which of course destroys their social and cultural structures and life style.

This is where they live? wow...I have always been interested in the 'romany way', my Mum has friends who are from a romany gypsy background here in the UK. When her father passed away the procession included there traditional caravan along with many others from their family, I had never seen anything like it...

I have never been to Serbia so am not familiar with the culture etc, is this how they all live?
