My little buddy, Ernie. Ernie left us on 7/6/09 at the age of 12 1/2 years old. He was a special needs puppy and we were amazed he had the long quality life he did. He had an enlarged heart and developed severe breathing problems. He was also bowlegged and had buckteeth. Despite all his issues, he was the perfect friend. I miss him dearly.

This looks like a dog my mom had when I was growing up. What a great face shot filling the frame.

AWWWW - I lost two doggies in '09 as well. This little fellow reminds me of my first dog, Tater. She was a pekingnese mix and what a toot. She had an under bite, but the slight squished face and smile makes me think of her. :~)
