M22 lies 10500 light years away. It contains approximately 70000 stars, spread over a region about 200 light years in diameter. The cluster is receding from us at a velocity of 150 km/sec.

Mount : Takahashi EM200 Temma II Jr
Camera : Canon 350D Baader modified
Exposure : 41 x 62 sec Lights (ISO 800), unguided
20 Darks
20 Bias
were aligned, calibrated and stacked in DSS for this final composite image (92.63% of the original FOV)
