 When I was considering "Missed Focus", I think I took the challenge topic too literal, and went after actual "Missed Focus". Have you ever tried to chase an ant around with a Macro Lens? This is the typical shot you get. Now, looking at it after I entered, I realized that it may be missing on the 'compelling' aspect, and it may not have enough contrast in the wood grain.

Hello from the Critique Club,

You asked for your shot to be critiqued by a member of the Club.

I think you have a good solid shot here, but I also think that as it was Advanced that a little more contrast and details would have helped a little. A little colour in the wood(?) would have made your ant pop a little more. IT is really rather blending in right now.

It almost looks like you used a Lensbaby on this shot.

I think you placed well in this challenge for this shot. Well done

It's amazing how fast ants move when you are on their planet. I thought this was quite compelling and made the stated point very well. I gave it a 7.
