It's hard to hand hold a 3 lb camera with an all manual lens and settings with only one hand free.
These guys tend to fly off for a few seconds and then come back to the same place. I put my fingertip above the radio antenna so he landed on my fingertip instead of on the antenna.
Manual Micro Nikkor 55, f3.5, on cam flash.

How did you get him to do that?! Dragonflies that I meet tend to be rather skittish. Something about being on the low end of the food chain, I suspect ;-)
