 This was to be styled similarly to bite me. The lighting style isn't quite the same, I probably should have left some shadow on the left side of his face. The desaturated look is true to form though. The dirt on his face is actually make-up, accentuated in photoshop. I over sharpened his skin a bit to give his face a grittier look.

Topaz? Heida? Challenge aside, the Topaz (I'm assuming it is) enhances the gritty textures to good effect.
