 Not much editing on this one, it did not turn out as well as I had hoped but I can keep my fingers crossed. I adjust contrast and added a little saturation to make the color pop. I cloned out some minor spots left by the dog on the black backdrop on the table and lightened some dark circles under the eye of my model. Some minor adjustments to the dogs fur. Sized and sharpened. My lighting set up was two umbrellas and a hair light. Many thanks to my little model Jerzi and her dog Snowflake.

I must say this one had me scratching my head. I could not understand how some people could not see the back to school in this one, the stack of books, the traditional little dress, I thought would be more than appropriate but I guess I was wrong.

this is what I think as a shoe horn. neither has anything to do with going back to school. Portrait wise, I would prefer that neither the tail end or the dress be cut off. and, the lighting is a flat. except for the amber highlights on her hair that seem out of place. cute little girl & doggie. it's a 3 for me & please do not let this hurt your feelings. I am trying to leave comments on every image in this challenge. It's only one vote and quite frankly, only my opinion which means really not much. :-)

immediate impression "whats this got to do with back to school?" then I read the title and I think it works real well. I have a scale of pictures and ones that need titles are lower down the order but now I'm thinking perhaps some pictures are better for requiring a title..... thought to be brutally honest in the better category would be "first day at school"
